USB IrDA Adapter / Photo transfer from Phone

I have a Panasonic GD87e camera phone and have been trying to get my pictures off of it for about a month now. Apparently, Panasonic have told me that this phone is not compatible with Macs, therefore their data cable will not work. I was also told that the infra-red may also not be compatible with macs. I have now been through various adapters, through Virtual PC and directly onto OSX but have had no joy.

Has anyone had similiar probs or know anywhere that sells a mac-compatible adapter?

I managed to resolve the problem by running the adaptor through Virtual PC. The adaptor did not seem to register until I plugged it directly into the back of my Mac, rather than the keyboard. I don't know whether this applies to other devices but it certainly did in this case. Problem solved, however if anyone does know whether it is possible to import directly into OSX, please let me know.
