Network problem

When I open Network in System Preferences, I get the error message "Your network settings have been changed by another application". Then I am unable to change anything and am only able to leave System Preferences by doing a Force Quit. My internet connection is working ok but I'm having problems getting my printer to work via a print server. Anyone know what's going on and how to resolve this problem? TIA, stiefnu

To stop the pop-up, Go to System Preferences: Security. Check the box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system preference." Then lock Security.
