Howdy!

Have just upgraded from a trusty but dated PPC7100/80 to a G3 300 so I'm still dizzy from the speed increase.

Old machine had 8.1, 8.6 on newer unit but Jaguar on order.

I had to hit the 'other' button because I'm running 8.6 on a G3 333mhz - last machine was a 286/12 that ran a 3 line BBS up till 92. First computer since then and y'know, relatively speaking, I think I'm still on the same rung of the ladder..

I also have a iMac 333, but it is no longer my current machine. My new Dual 1GHz PowerMac G4 is much better.

(squinting up to the far reaches of the computing ladder...) Oh yeah, there you are! So does that come with dual exhaust and dual overhead cams too?

I am on Jaguar and I highly enjoy it. I used to switch between Classic and OS X, but I don't use it as often. Once in blue moon I do, when I feel like looking at pixelilated icons

OSX came with my machine, only got it a month ago but already I'm in love with the interface, especially the customization of it. It's all text files somewhere and if you can't find tools to do it cleanly you can hack them yourself. I didn't by my G4 for the hardware, although 2 1.25 Ghz procs are nice, I bought it for the software. Yes I'm a former, and somewhat current, Wintel user, primariliy for my games though. I live on my new mac.

Cool Apple OS

Using the newest version of Jaguar on my iMac G4/700 and loving it. Here's an idea for a poll: "Where do you keep your Dock?"

Good idea. I created one here.

In case you didn't know, any member can create a poll.

I changed that, because some users clicked that option by mistake, and never posted the poll. The thread doesn't show up until the poll is completed, so they think that it was deleted.

If you want a poll posted, simply ask a mod or admin.
