Due to the recent influx of inquiries regarding programs to import DVDs, we would like to clarify a few things. Please note that there are some commercial products allegedly designed for this purpose, but because of their less-than-credible marketing techniques, we recommend the use of alternative methods. The programs listed below are all well-rated by real Mac users, and more importantly, free:

• Handbrake
• Handbrake Lite - same as above but with a simpler interface
• MacTheRipper
• iSquint - formats specifically for iPods

On that note, be aware that any post referencing a questionable product will be treated as spam and dealt with accordingly.

Handbrake is the best tool for ripping dvd to ipod/ipad.

yes i have a mini mac osx processor 2.26 ghz intel-core 2 duo memory 2.gb 1067 what i need to burn dvd

is it possible to rip and burn software from the cd?if so,how? because i have three brohters and two sisters and they constantly lose my stuff and tend to borrow and never return,i jus wanna make a master copy of my software so i may have a back up

Is possible to rip an encrypted DVD by Handbrake? Before i choose a DVD Ripper, I will focus on its decrypted features. So that some free apps can not do this.
