I am interested in moving my Mac address book to Windows XP Outlook Express. New to Mac and still using Windows laptop. Can it be done & how.
Thanks, Alan

Address book exports vcards which I believe Outlook express accepts.

address book, mac to outlook

I have the vCard version on a memory stick. When I put in the Windows XP, it is not read. I have downloaded an ABC Amber vCard Converter, which has read the names, but apparently not the phone numbers, email addresses or the physical addresses. Any ideas? Thanks, Alan

I have never needed to do this and have never used the product linked below. Please look into it and decide for yourself whether this will work.

I searched in google for products that allow the creation of .csv files (comma separated values) from OS X Address Book entries. I found this app. In theory this should work fine.

I have only gone from outlook express to Mac which went without problems. When you say you could not read the vcards, was it that you could not see them on your stick (computer could not see the files), or that the computer saw the files but Outlook Express could not read them?

If the issue is the computer not seeing the files, try emailing one vcard to yourself to confirm OE can read them.
