Another CD burner problem

I just purchased a Sony CD burner. Ever tried to find support help at sony's site? geeesh

First, I'm getting 'cannot format disk, disk is locked" message for new blank disks.

Also, when I try to find my way around the B's Gold software that comes with the sony's, it freezes up my G3 after a few clicks.

Of course, figuring out why the locked CD message comes up is the first thing to do.
