subrosasoft "SRS Launcher"?

I suddenly find I have this subrosasoft.com "SRS Launcher"come up on my other [Main G5] computer, and nothing I do can get rid of it. It won't let me access System Prefs — or anything else that I want to access for that matter. It won't even let me do a "Safe Boot" [Shift on startup].

Am I the victim of some form of Malware? I can't find SRS Launcher on subrosasoft's webpage.

Any ideas how to get rid of it? (I don't even know how it got there in the first place!)

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Roy

Do you have any of the following programs loaded on your computer:
FileSalvage, MacForensicsLab™, or CopyCatX. Is the account you are logging on to an Admin account?

Only reference I could for SRS is the audio enhancement package by SRS Labs, surprised it's locking out a Safe boot, are you sure you're holding down SHIFT for a long time.

Can you boot into F/W Target mode (hold down T at boot until the F/W symbol appears) on the 'infected' Mac. If so put it in Target mode and connect to another Mac via F/W, you will then be able to search and kill any reference to SRS on the Mac. If going this route I'd turn off Finder's hidden file functions - dangerous but necessary in cases like this.

Other option to try is to boot off your original OS X cd and see if you can access your system prefs then. If you have not done so already, I would make a back up of all data files on your affected computer, not a general backup with programs as I believe SRS Launcher is part of a program install.
