Mac mini: Prints OS X but does not print classic softwares

I use a Mac mini with OS 10.4.8 and OS 9.2.2-built-in. It shows "unexpected printer error#-192" when I try to print from OS 9, while I have no problem printing from OS 10 softwares. Other Mac minis we have in the office, that use the same network printer, can print perfectly from both OS X and 9.

I re-installed the printer drive. I have chosen the correct printer from Chooser. I chose another printer to test, but it did not work, either.

What can I do next?

Printing from classic can be a big pain. We just went to an all 10.4 environment and 99% of our printing issues have disappeared.

I'd suggest you delete the driver in classic, then download the OS9 driver (if they've got one) and install that in Classic. Sometimes that does the trick.

Work around in case all else fails: "Print" to pdf and then use OS X to print the pdf to the printer.
