Unhappy Printing from Virtual PC for Mac

I recently installed Virtual PC for Mac -Windows XP version. Everything is fine . . . if VERY SLOW . . . but I am not able to print. When I give the command to print, the doc shows up in the queue for my printer, but it just won't print!

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sandy

Hello! Please be more specific on Mac model and OS. Sometimes printers aren't compatible with Mac's usb printer sharing feature and sometimes with multiple printers installed you seem to end up with multiple print monitors that spool back and forth to eternity. I gave up years ago on VPC and keep 3 pc's kvm'd to this Mac so I've got Xp, and Win 2000 available. Tom

Printing from Virtual PC for Mac

Hi! Thanks for your reply. I have a G4 iMac, running MacOS 10.3.9. I have only one printer. I've already invested quite a bit in the VPM software, and even more to have a techie set it up for me. In fact, he's coming over this week to see if he can figure out the printing problem... that is, unless I can get some good advice real soon on how to solve the problem!

If you are running anything past OS10.3, you will be able to print on Virtual PC without setting it up. When you print, you don't do Command-p, you do control p like you are using a pc. Try unplugging the printer, then plugging it in again.
