VHS onto PB hard drive?

i have a few VHS tapes that i would like to make into dvds. is there anyway to do this with my powerbook? hardware, software ect. any help would be helpfull.

Assuming you have a DVD burner on the PB, the trick is getting the movie on to the PB.

I had a similer issue a few years ago, that I was able to solve easily because my video camera has a firewire output. I hooked it up to both a VHS player, and my computer. Then used iMoive to import to the computer. Once on the computer just used iDVD.
