Question about monitoring and keylogging software

I would like to install keystroke logging software on my MacBook Pro. Is there anything someone would recommend?

Someone told me they wouldn't even recommend installing something like this as you really don't know how legitimate the company is that sells this.

If someone could recommend something that would work well on my Mac.
