What is it?

Is that an SD slot in the Macbook Pro? It certainly looks like one.

Also, I found a firewire cable in my big box of cables. However, one end fits my old 2006 macbook, but the other end does not fit the Macbook Pro! They've changed the design of the firewire cable? Gee whiz!

I love the macbook Pro! I love the way the keys light up, and I love the way it looks with its metal case. It's heavier but more sturdy.

For those who remember my repair jobs on the old macbook, i.e. I stuck it all together with white duck tape. It still works!!!

It is an SDXC slot, think the xc means it will take a high capacity memory card (+32 or 64 GB). The firewire connection should be FW800, twice as fast as your 2006 MBP firewire. They do have (sell) adapters to convert the plugin to use the cable.

They are very nice machines!

Thanks mmkerc.
I love it already. I also put the keyboard skin on it. This one I'm gonna take good care of. They didn't mention about the fire wire adapter but what the heck. I chose the 13" because I already have stuff for it like a hard shell see through case, keyboard skin, speck carry case. I also like the new design power cord; unintrusive. The battery last ages too. God! Hours of use and I still have half the battery power left. The old macbook is still working but the battery is not charging. I got the Pro just in time I guess.
