Mac OS X authentication
How does Apple handle authentication when registering it's OS? I am only familiar with XP authentication. Do they take a hardware snapshot like MS? I have had bad experience in the past when upgrading hardware where Windows will require a phone call to MS when doing serious upgrades because the Os thinks you are trying to run on an unauthorized machine. I am planning major ram, hard disk upgrades to G5. I am also waiting for 'Tiger' to emerge to buy a Family version. Since we are always 'rebuilding' and tinkering with hardware will this cause a problem.
