iTunes storing CD artist data

For some reason the iTunes installed on my Mac at work, an old G3 iMac can see and include lists of CD info, artists and songs but my iTunes at home never recognizes this data even though it's obviously been recorded with it on there. Is there something I can do at home to make it recognize so I don't have to type it all in? I work in 9.2 on both machines.

The song info comes from something called a CDDB database, it's not actually on the CD. Try choosing "Get CD Track Names" from the "Advanced" menu in iTunes.
