iPod & Apple TV Connector

I have an iPod Nano, and the cables to hook it into the TV - it worked fine once, but the stupid thing will not hook into the TV a second time - it will give me an audio feed through the TV but no video, and it asks me to hook the cable into the iPod.

No joy from the soap-opera fan who missed the one critical show I had to get off the iTunes for her.

Suggestions please.

I am sure you checked this but just to go over the basics you have the cable with three RCA jacks on one end, and an iPod connector and usb (to power) plug on the other? You plug directly into the TV or a VCR?, and if TV you have it set to play from the RCA ins? Lastly, if you have a new TV with multipliable RCA in's you do have them plugged in the same source?

I assume the video plays fine on the nano

Yep, I rechecked the cables, even disconnected them all, plugged them all back in, and repeated the process on an older set with RCA connectors. It still asks for the video accessory, and it still only plays audio - and oddly enough, it is playing audio on the TV when I turn the TV Out setting OFF for the programs in question.

I tried my iPod and it worked as expected, no issues. Wonder if your cable could have gone bad. Do you have a different TV you can try? Just to rule out the TV?
