networking mac to windows...

i have a mac mini and a dell that i would like to network together...
also have a ethernet router...anybody have any tips or hints?

If you have XP Pro it's a doddle, set up the IP addresses and it's done, both machines can access / read / write to each others disks. Regrettably some of this functionality is lost with plain XP.

You can attach with xp home (or any other windows OS since win98), it is just not "built-in" like pro. Here is one set of instuctions on how to. Generally, though I tend to play around with the settings since all windows OS are slightly differnet with how they handle things.
