Matrox Dual Head (32 MB G400 Max) card in a G4?

I was recently asked by a coworker if I thought he could run a Dual VGA Matrox 32 mb card in a G4 tower. The card was a working pull from an WinBox and labeled:
G4+MMDH4A326
I have found out that the card is the "MAX" version (the extra "M" in the serial #) and is 32mb...that is about all.

I found these articles about what appears to be the same card with a different driver. I wonder if I can get away with it? What is the worst that can happen if the graphics card is incompatable? Will it damage the card or the board?

Any advice would be great!

I really dont think you could damage anything and if you were to damage any thing it would probhably be the card that gets damaged

That's what I figure as well. I will try later today and let you nkow the outcome.

BTW: I have a really old 19" mitsubishi LCD with a super large lower bezel, a friend came in and saw it and said;
"No way... you got a G5 - iMac!?!"
LOL
